It is said that to become a Shaman you have to have a near-death experience In the tribes they use various methods, including narcotics and poisons to help the student have an outer-body experience. But sometimes the person really does have a near-death experience, in my life I have almost died once, I should be dead according to the police reports. I was 15 and hit by 2 cars. I dented the road surface when I landed, head first. Then take into account my first vision at 24, about my, (so I thought) death.

Jasper – Faith, Courage, Earth Wisdom – Stone of Kaskai

Not only do we have a host of local Animals including a rat and Hedgehogs and various birds, but I have just seen a new visitor to my little piece of wilderness which is my back garden. Mickey the Mouse. Eating the food I had left out, which mainly gets eaten by the birds.

For me the Mouse = Stealth, Secrets and the direction is South. Seeing the mouse now, for the first time, at this time, tells me that the Secrets I have are safe and at the moment are necessary. More Guidance from my Gods. I give thanks and praise to you all for the Guidance you give me in this part of my journey.

Eyes and mind open always, because you never know where or when Guidance will be given.

The circle of life turns, from the life/death cycle, through the day/night of this planet, the yearly cycle of the Solar system, and right through to the fact that our solar system turns in a circle in the galaxy, and the galaxy turns in it’s cycle within the universe. Wheels within Wheels, Cycles within Cycles. It is the infinite power of the Universe has a whole which is the power.

Mankind, despite it’s Delusions of Grandeur, is nothing but a speck of dust when compared to the Universe. And yet some religions have given Man as the most important concept in the Universe. So Man tries to control and dominate Nature and the Planet. Only to realise that the storm has taken many lives, and there is nothing which you can do about it.

The old English king Cnut found that one out when he tried to hold back the Sea. I guess that it was either Death or Ridicule for him. And yet those who give a damn about the Planet and Nature are classed as nut jobs by society at large, I know that I am, and really I could not care a less. I know my worth, and I know that without mankind, the planet will carry on doing it’s thing.

Being in tune with the planet is a start in the right direction, notice the changing seasons, although in the UK we can have 4 seasons in one day. The stars changing across the night sky, (when it is not cloudy anyway), the plants growing, flowering and dying, The Trees barren in winter, leaf buds and the full bloom of flowers and leaves, to the red, brown and finally back to barren. When was the last time you really looked at a tree? I asked this question once during a brief time on Facebook. I was asked what drugs I was taking? But in truth, have you really looked at a tree? The shape of the leaves, texture of the branches and trunk, the way the roots sometimes come up out of the ground, and that they can stretch and bring a house down. The myriad of life which lives within the tree, from small mammals and birds to the tiny mites, and all sorts in-between. The fact that from a small acorn a mighty Oak will grow and then after 200 years or so it will die. This is the Balance of Nature, the cycle of Life and Death. Even the Universe may one day end it’s cycle, but we as a species, and probably this whole solar system will have long gone by then. Nothing will last forever.

With animals and plants, chose those which have meaning to you, generally those from your own country, but sometimes you may find that you have a real affinity with an animal or plant which is not native to your country, even if you have never seen it. There has never been a big cat on these islands, nor a buffalo, and we have not had bears for a long time, yet we know what these animals look like. This is personal Shamanism, it is fine reading a book, learning from it, but what if you are allergic to, say lavender and the book says it is an East plant and you should have it? Only you know what feelings you have towards each animal and plant. Granted, if you have no idea then go from the guidance of the book.

I really can not remember when Kaskai came into my life, it is just that She has been with me quite a while, giving me guidance and protecting me. She came to me in a vision, and I knew her name straight away, straight into my brain. I have never seen a Cougar alive, only on TV or books or the internet, but that matters to me not. She is important to me. Always with me in Spirit. AndI came to be before my vision of her in ‘94. A friend and I were using a Ouija board and She came through and spoke to me, This was late teens or early 20’s. And then when I was 24 I saw Her in the Vision, and She has been with me ever since.

  1. I’ve been exploring for a little bit for any high quality articles or blog posts on this sort of area . Exploring in Yahoo I at last stumbled upon this website. Reading this info So i am happy to convey that I have an incredibly good uncanny feeling I discovered just what I needed. I most certainly will make certain to do not forget this site and give it a glance on a constant basis.

    • Hey Linn,
I am glad that you found it useful, but I must stress that it is my Wheel, but you can/need to use it as a bases for your own Wheel. It will change as you go along your Path, mine is always changing.

  2. I love trees. They are all individuals to me. I often take a lone walk in the forest just to “be” with them. I also have a connection with cats, foxes and crows. I am concerned about the badgers at the moment. Hopefully the tide will turn in their favour

  3. I am the same about Badgers, but there is only so much any of us can do, apart from keeping up the Pressure and the prayers. Trees are “people” to lol, every one is different and unique, and even within the same wood, two Oaks will have a different “feel” to them, that is my experience anyway.

    Thanks for the comment Rose,

  4. Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the images on this blog loading? I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
